ABOUT ME

I’m Alisa Vakhtangova, the photographer behind getawayarchitect, based in Adelaide. With a background in architecture and design, I have a strong eye for composition and a deep appreciation for aesthetics. Photography is my way of experiencing the world — capturing beauty in people, spaces, and everyday moments.

In 2024, the birth of our daughter became a turning point. It reconnected me with my long-standing love for photography. Today, I work across both digital and analog medias, offering natural, documentary-style photography for families, couples, and creative spaces.

MY BACKGROUND

– Architectural designer with 6+ years’ experience at leading firms in Melbourne and Adelaide
– BA (Hons) in Architecture, Canterbury School of Architecture, (UK)
– College of Applied Art and Design, Zagreb (Croatia)

I’m also the founder of Ladies Art Club — a community-driven art circle for women in Adelaide.

I’m always open to meaningful collaborations and projects. Feel free to reach out!
